Navaratri is a nine-night festival honoring the Goddess and the potency of Divine feminine energy (Shakti) which is at times loving, compassionate and gentle as well as courageous, fierce and powerful.
The Hindu Students Organization and Hindu Life at Yale will host a worship service venerating Durga and Saraswati, followed by a catered vegetarian Indian dinner. The puja will be led by HSO board members, and all are welcome to chant along using the printed puja program. Indian dress is not required but is certainly welcome.
This event is for the Yale community only.
