6:00 – 8:00 PM
Navaratri is a nine-night festival honoring the Goddess and the potency of Divine feminine energy (Shakti) which is at times loving, compassionate and gentle as well as courageous, fierce and powerful.
This is a time of great auspiciousness and a time to celebrate new endeavors.
The Hindu Students Organization and Hindu Life at Yale will host a worship service venerating Durga and Saraswati, followed by a catered vegetarian Indian dinner. The puja will be led by HSO board members, and all are welcome to chant along using the printed puja program.
Puja guests are invited to bring their musical instruments and any items associated with scholarly pursuits for Her blessings.
This event is free and open to the Yale Community. Follow this link for more details and to register so we have an accurate count for dinner.
