Hindu Prayer Room
A personal, contemporary exploration of the Mahabharata led by Dr. Shipman, Director of Hindu Life at Yale. We will draw from The Gita Deck (Mandala Publishing) and A Hindu Primer: Yaksha Prashna (Periplus Line LLC) to contemplate verses and discuss how and if the wisdom within these sacred Hindu scriptures can be incorporated into our everyday lives.
In-depth experience with these texts is *not* at all required.
Come with an open mind and heart plus an interest in meeting friends in the community.
This event is free and open to the Yale community (students/postgrads/postdocs etc.)
No registration is required; please come on time.
Directions to the Hindu Prayer Room can be found here
