Glitter jars - aka buddha jars, calming jars, chill out jars…

They are beautiful but also a great way to help settle the mind if there’s just too much going on inside. Swirl the glitter, sit quietly and watch it settle. The swirling glitter is akin to our thoughts and emotions which can feel chaotic and overwhelming. As the glitter settles to the bottom of the jar the water above becomes clear. Meditation is a tool that allows us to name and examine our thoughts and emotions. The glitter jar lesson is that to clear the mind does not solve our problems; rather it offers perspective and clarity which makes it easier to discern the best possible path to take in the here and now.

We look forward to seeing you there!
