Useful directions:

Battell Chapel is located at the corner of Elm and College Streets in New Haven, CT. It is the University Chapel. This link takes you to a map showing the Chapel.

You may enter into Battell from three doors:

The first option is the Elm Street doorway, which is close to the street corner and up a flight of steps.

The second options are inside the Old Campus Quad. Access to Old Campus is best through Phelps Gate which is an old stone archway on College Street at the midpoint between Elm and Chapel cross streets. It is also marked on the map. Once through Phelps Gate go right along the walkway. Battell will be directly in front of you in the corner. The doors are to the left of the building and have stained glass panes.

All the other entrances to Battell Chapel will be locked.

The chapel has pews which you are welcome to sit on during the puja. There will also be space to sit on the floor in the front. We will have an area to set shoes aside inside the chapel.

Parking is available on College Street and several Yale Shuttle lines drop off at Phelps Gate. The puja will last for about 30 minutes so please plan to come on time.
