Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of knowledge, music, arts, and science, is our Hindu patron deity at Yale. We worship Her in the beginning and at the end of each semester.
Join us for a Saraswati Puja towards an auspicious beginning to the academic year and an opportunity to offer a warm welcome to our Hindu Yale College Class of 2029 students and incoming Hindu G&P students & Postdocs.
A 40-minute worship service will be followed by a catered vegetarian Indian dinner. The puja is led by the HSO board members, all are invited to chant using the printed puja program. Indian dress is not required but is certainly welcome.
